Ask her friends and family, and they can affirm that from a young age Jazzy has always proclaimed that she would be a fashion designer. Following her passion, Jazmyn pursued an education in fashion and graduated from Virginia Tech University with a degree in apparel product development and merchandising management. With the desire to further refine her creativity, design, and technical skills, she studied at New York's Fashion Institute of Technology and attended their study abroad program in Milan, Italy for two years. She immersed herself in the Italian culture and experienced European trade shows, showcasing the most luxurious and beautiful designs.

After graduating from FIT, she made the move to Los Angeles, where she worked several years as a designer for prominent LA-based women's fashion brand, Black Halo. After years of honing her product development, management, and design skills, Jazzy pursued her lifelong goal of creating and cultivating her namesake fashion brand, J.Dené.
